About This Blog

La Famiglia Di Bari is a chronicle of the vast and quirky travels of our modern blended family. I’m a native New Yorker, from Red Hook, Brooklyn. My husband, Michele, is from Rozzano, Milan by way of southern Italy. Our story starts with food. We met at a restaurant, one of his, in Brooklyn. And, most of the time, food is the frame through which I tell our stories here: growing it, cooking it, entertaining, inspirations, dining in and dining out and anecdotes about our little restaurant, Va Beh’.

I am intrigued by new cultures, new ideas and ways of seeing the world, and we travel frequently. My professional background is in the entertainment business, as a manager for musicians Q-Tip and A Tribe Called Quest. Travel and the arts will figure prominently here, but the literary and culinary are my personal passions. This blog is the place where I combine both.
